Official estimates pegged attendance for the 18th edition of our downtown street fair on May 20 at 25,000, the best ever for this or any one-day event in modern Highland Park history.
Feedback is welcome as we plan the 2008 street fair, which will take place on Sunday, May 18. Write us at
HPChamber@aol.com or phone 732-249-3375.
Sunny skies graced the event's 160 vendors and crafters along a three-block stretch of Raritan Avenue--between 2nd and 5th Avenues--which was closed to vehicular traffic.
Vendor applications for 2008 are available by contacting the Office of Street Fairs at 908-654-1400 or
info@streetfairs.org.
The street fair is a rain-or-shine event. The event was begun in 1991 by the Chamber's predecessor, the Highland Park Downtown Merchants Association.
