It’s only fitting that the natural and organic bedding company would move its main showroom and headquarters from New Brunswick to Highland Park in December, just in time for the holidays. The Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting will take place on December 3 from 6 to 8 p.m.
“I’m very excited to welcome White Lotus Home to Highland Park,” Mayor Meryl Frank said. “I think they will be well received in our community. People in Highland Park are very interested in natural products and we support businesses that make an investment in our community.”
White Lotus Home was founded on Earth Day in 1981. The business grew from a small shop serving local customers out of its New Brunswick storefront to a company that now needs a large showroom to go with its strong online presence. White Lotus Home now serves customers in 20 states and Canada and is growing every day.
Pando first considered moving his business to Highland Park a few years ago. Mayor Frank received a flyer for the business in the mail and called him to say “you should be in Highland Park,” Mayor Frank said. She didn’t hear from him again until this year, when he started looking at properties.
Main Street Highland Park Project Manager James McCrone said the addition of White Lotus Home is “a major acquisition” for Highland Park’s downtown business district, bolstering its already long list of destination shops, boutiques and restaurants.
“The fact that Highland Park has been recognized as a green community and that it’s close to our staff and existing customers made it an attractive option,” Pando said. “We look forward to becoming a part of the Highland Park community.”
White Lotus Home will have a ribbon cutting on December 3 from 6 to 8 p.m. For more information on the business, visit www.whitelotus.net.
