The Highland Park Chamber of Commerce ceased operations effective Dec. 31, 2008.
Chamber President Duane Beers, owner of Highland Park Automotive, cited lack of interest, including dwindling membership rolls.
This ends a 17-year run as Highland Park's only townwide business organization. The Chamber extends sincere appreciation to our members, the Borough of Highland Park and Main Street Highland Park, which manages the downtown business district.
Control of the annual downtown street fair has passed to here.
